**MUST COMPLETE THE FORM NO LATER THAN JANUARY 7th 2027 TO RECEIVE RECOGNITION.**
All students can be recognized for community service that is completed at a qualifying 501(c)3 non-profit organization outside of school hours. Please see important updates below to ensure that all community service is being completed and verified correctly:
1. Starting January 2026, students may document a maximum of 25 hours for time volunteered on campus at a Milford-affiliated 501c organization. To allow for equitable recognition of student service and to maintain strong partnerships with local organizations, any remaining documentation should reflect service completed outside of Milford Schools. A list of qualifying 501c organizations can be found here.
2. As students complete hours, the Service Verification Form needs to be completed. Please print and fill out forms for each volunteer experience. The form needs to include a signature from a representative of the organization. Forms MUST be scanned to PDF and submitted digitally through the Google Form link below. The Verification Form will be open for the 2026-2027 school year from September 1st, 2026 to January 7th, 2027.

3. While this step is not mandatory, students are encouraged to create an account on InnerView using their school-issued email address. Through InnerView, a service resume can be generated and attached to college, employment, and internship applications.
The Milford Service Recognition Program benefits both students and Non-Profit community partners. The program allows Milford to focus on creating a culture of meaningful service within the district, as well as the greater Cincinnati community. Students in grades 9-12 will be empowered to find and engage in worthwhile and relevant opportunities that directly relate to classroom curriculum, student interests, career endeavors, and values important to the Milford and Cincinnati communities.
All volunteer work at a qualifying 501c organization can be tracked over a student’s tenure at Milford High School. By tracking hours, Milford is able to recognize students with two levels of Service Awards: The Jefferson Award and The Superintendent's Award. These prestigious awards allow Milford to celebrate the selfless work of our students and to ensure ongoing partnerships between the district and local community organizations.
When a student serves 20+ hours in one calendar year, they will be recognized with The Jefferson Award. This is a nationally recognized service award and will be presented each spring at the various class awards nights.
Updated in 2026, when a student serves 100+ hours of community service, they will be recognized with the Superintendent's Award. This is the most prestigous award offered by Milford Schools District; students will recieve a certificate of recognition that is signed by Milford Schools Superintendent, Dr. Bobbie Fiori. This prestigous award will be presented along with the Jeffersons at class awards.
